NFCC 3C’s Conference | Command - Communication - Connectivity
We are delighted to announce we’ll be joining the NFCC in Belfast at its next conference covering Command, Communications and Connectivity for the UK fire and rescue service.
Over the two days, the NFCC will cover a variety of topics around emergency response communications, looking at what are the future trends, challenges and solutions. We will see presentations on the current issues we face mixed with innovative solutions for the future in this area.
The conference programme will include sessions with CFO Darryl Keen who will showcase NFCC priorities and projects, including the role of the 999/112 Liaison Committee and how this committee is working with Government Departments and various emergency services to develop a roadmap towards implementation of new technologies in control rooms.
In addition to his role as the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Strategic Lead for Operational Communications, Darryl is also leading work with British Telecom and all of the emergency services to replace the UK's 999/112 infrastructure. He is the Hertfordshire County Council Director of Community Protection and Chief Fire Officer and has been an operational fire officer for 28 years.
There will also be presentations on Multi-Agency Incident Transfer (MAIT) and the replacement BT 999 Infrastructure, as well as case studies in command and communication from the 2018 North West moorland fires. These sessions will demonstrate a multi-agency context with presentations from other sectors on the future of their command and control systems.
All aspects of command and communication tools, including fireground radio (digital v’s analogue), ESN, 5G and the connectivity blackspot solutions it can offer, will be covered.
