Increased efficiency using vehicle location from APD

APD's INCA and Co-Ordinator resource location solution is now installed in 365 vehicles including repair and maintenance, cash in transit, grass cutters, compact sweepers, gritters, gully emptiers, graffiti washers and refuse vehicles. Since the implementation of the project, the solution has moved from trunked radio to GPRS.

The Repairs and Maintenance Mobile Solution using APD's Mobile Information Platform (MIP) has been deployed to 128 frontline staff with specific project objectives around service, performance and environmental improvements. These improvements were identified in a core benefits framework with measurements put in place to ensure outcomes could be achieved. The measurable targets were set before the development of the project.
