Entry Level Software Engineer

We are currently recruiting for entry level software engineers to help to expand our development capacity in support of our strategic objectives.  The role will be working across the full software development lifecycle, as such the successful candidates can expect to gain a wide range of experience.  The role would be particular suited to driven individuals with an interest in technology, ideally holding a relevant degree.

Skills and Qualities

Mandatory skills and experience:

·      Excellent software engineering skills

·      Full software lifecycle knowledge (customer requirements capture, specification, design, code, test, support), ideally understood across different methodologies

·      Knowledge of modern programming languages and in depth understanding of object oriented design and development.

Experience of/exposure to the following would be advantageous:

·      Exposure to agile software development methodologies

·      Knowledge of formal design and requirements techniques

·      Customer facing problem solving experience

·      Understanding of formal testing techniques

·      Knowledge of hardware and infrastructure

·      An appreciation of requirements of safety critical systems

·      Understanding of different testing strategies and automation techniques

Appreciation of the rigour involved in working in an environment that is certified to ISO9001, ISO20000 & ISO27001
